Tesco providing bags of Help for St Mark’s

St Mark's Hospital Foundation have been chosen as one of Tesco's Bags of Help projects. VOTE NOW!

Bags of Help is Tesco’s exciting local community grant scheme where the money raised from the sale of carrier bags is used to fund thousands of local projects in communities right across the UK. Customers can vote for one of the three local projects using tokens given to them at the check out each time they shop. The project with the highest number of votes will receive £4,000, the second £2,000 and the third £1,000.

We’re thrilled to announce that St Mark’s Hospital Foundation’s Surgical Robotics Research Programme has been selected as one of the three final projects!

Tesco’s Bags of Help have already delivered over £63 million to more than 20,000 projects across Britain. Voting is open from Tuesday 2nd January until Thursday 28th February 2019 with the Foundation featuring in the following stores:

Alec Brown, Head of Community at Tesco, said:

“Bags of Help has been a fantastic success and we’ve been overwhelmed by the response from customers. It’s such a special scheme because it’s local people who decide how the money will be spent in their community. There are some fantastic projects on the shortlists and we can’t wait to see these come to life in hundreds of communities.”
